Unexpected Journey by Jo Matthews

Sarah thought she met her soul mate in Mitch Chandler. High school sweethearts, they married right after graduation. Eight years later, he is a stranger to her and their marriage is on the rocks. In a halfhearted attempt to placate her, Mitch suggests a trip to Hawaii, but schedules a business meeting to write off the expense.

Aaron Johnson, Mitch’s friend and business partner, agrees to help with the presentation and plans are made for all three to go. What happens when Mitch backs out at the last minute to spend a romantic weekend with his secretary, forcing Aaron’s hand so that he has to accompany Sarah alone?

Will an innocent friendship turn into something more as Aaron’s attraction for Sarah grows? How will Sarah manage when she realizes that Aaron is awakening feelings in her that she’s never felt before? The sexual tension burns hot as these two embark on an unexpected journey that neither are prepared for.

“I want you, Sarah. I want to feel your pussy wrapped around my cock while I fuck you. Are you ready for that…for me?” As he was talking, he was tearing a condom open and sliding it over his erection.

“Yes,” I whimpered as I clenched my legs together to gain some much needed friction.

My one word answer seemed to be enough of a response because he moved between my legs and pushed them farther apart. “God, you’re perfect,” he complimented as his eyes drank in my naked pussy. “Every part of you is beautiful.”

He licked his lips and I couldn’t help but moan. Remembering exactly what his tongue could do, I tried to squeeze my legs together. He wasn’t having any of that, though, because he pinned them in place. “Please, Aaron, fuck me already. I need to feel you,” I begged. Was it shameless? Maybe. Did I care in that moment? Hell no. The only thing I cared about was having him inside me.

“Mmm, such a dirty mouth, Baby. I’ll make sure to put that to good use later,” he teased as he moved to hover over me. “But for now, this pussy is what I’m interested in.” His words got me even wetter, and the anticipation of feeling him inside me had me at my boiling point.

Luckily, the wait was over and he lined himself up with my entrance. Looking directly in my eyes, he slowly slid his length inside me, giving me time to adjust. When our hips met and I thought he was in as far as he could go, he thrust just a little harder. “Oh, God…so fucking full…fuck!”

He started to move within me, and with each thrust it felt like he went deeper. The feeling was heavenly, and I couldn’t imagine it getting any better. I was wrong. Oh, how I was wrong. I had only ever had sex lying flat on my back, so when Aaron grabbed my left leg and lifted it up onto his shoulder, I was a little leary—at least until he thrust his hips forward, hitting me so deep it felt like he was in my stomach. “So fucking tight, Baby. Ungh, does that feel good?”

“Yesssss…oh, God, yes!” I panted as he continued to thrust in and out of me. “Oh fuck! Please don’t stop.”

Before I knew what was happening, my right leg was up on his other shoulder and he was leaning down. I wasn’t aware I was still so flexible, but the way my knees were touching my shoulders proved otherwise. The new position also allowed Aaron to penetrate me deeper, and within three thrusts, I was clenching around him and screaming through another orgasm.

“That’s it, Baby. Squeeze my cock. Fuck, you’re so tight. I’m not…ugh…gonna last.” His movements became erratic, and he sat up on his knees, grabbed my hips, and held me in place as he slammed into me twice more before stilling and collapsing on top of me.

I was breathing hard but feeling euphoric. Nothing could bring down my high. “That was um…good,” I giggled.

Moving off of me slightly, Aaron leaned down and kissed me hard. When he pulled back, he smirked. “Just good? I guess I’ll have to try again.”

Hot Summer Nights by Bec Rose

Annie Murphy had the picture perfect life. A beautiful home, a wonderful son, and a husband who adored her. It was every woman’s dream until her husband of over twenty years came out of the closet, leaving her a forty-five year old divorcee struggling to regain her confidence. Needing a distraction, she agrees to allow her son’s friend, Jamie, to spend the summer at her house while working as an intern. When Jamie, the cute female intern she’d been expecting turns out to be Jaime, the hot male intern with abs to drool over, it kicks Annie’s fantasies into overdrive. When she realizes that her desires are not one sided, it’s more than the temperature that causes some hot summer nights.

She kept her eyes on mine as she knelt down in front of me. I nearly came just at the sight of her down there, but needed to hold it together. I started thinking about some god-awful things just to keep my composure, not wanting to look like the novice.

Annie licked her lips before she took her eyes off mine and focused her attention on my swollen cock. I don’t think I had ever been that hard before in my life. When she leaned forward, she grinned to herself before licking my cock from tip to base. My body shuddered and I needed to hold on to the railing beside me to stop myself from crumbling to the floor in pleasure.

“Fuck, Annie! God, please.” I was begging for her mouth to be wrapped around my cock, and even if this was the first and last time we would be together, just the memory of her in this position would give me reason enough to jerk off for months to come.

She finally gave in at my insistence and sucked on my throbbing cock, the tip beyond ready to burst. I hissed at the feeling, my head rolling from side to side. I wanted to watch what she was doing but the pleasure she was giving me was so fucking good that I couldn’t help but close my eyes.

I had no idea how or what she was doing, but the overload of sensations just from her mouth was incredible. I had only ever been with high school or college age girls, and clearly, none of them had known what they were doing when giving head.

“Oh, fuck! Annie, you need to stop or I’m going to come.” I had to be honest; she must have felt my cock strain at the pressure, and I knew I was only moments away. Her tongue continued to swirl around the tip as she came up and then plunged back down, swallowing around me, almost taking all of me in.

I felt her nod as I told her, and when I looked down, that was my undoing. Watching her suck on my cock—on her knees in front of me while looking back up at me—was all I could handle. I came hard and pushed myself further into her mouth. She swallowed fast, easily keeping up with the streams of come I released down her throat. Then, after sucking on me once more as if to pull every last drop from my shaft, she released my cock with a pop.

When she stood up in front of me, I had to kiss her. I didn’t care that just moments before she had my cock in her mouth. That simple act had clearly driven me insane. I wanted to fuck this woman more than anything else right then, and I only hoped she felt the same.

Realizing fate brought her together with a man who could give her the one thing her husband couldn’t—a baby—Calla decides to take a chance. One romantic night, one big lie, will it save her marriage or fill her heart with more emptiness? Will this be the answer to her prayers? In life, are there truly second chances?

As the euphoria began to subside, I realized I still had his head in the vice that was my thighs. I relaxed my muscles to release him, but he didn’t seem in a hurry to move. Instead, he lowered his lead slightly and licked at the arousal I could feel trickling from my body.

“God, you’re delicious,” he groaned, pulling back. “I could do that all night, but I have to have you.” Standing at the foot of the bed, he lowered his pants. I was glad he hadn’t turned off the light or I wouldn’t have been able to see the most magnificent cock in the world. It was long and thick and beautiful—if that was even possible.

I drug my eyes from it and looked up to his face to find that he wasn’t smiling. In fact, he looked upset. The color seemed to have drained from his face in the blink of an eye. I was about to ask what was wrong when he spoke. “I um…I don’t have a condom. I just…well I didn’t know.” He raked his hand over the stubble on his face. “Do you? Of course you don’t. It’s not like someone like you would have…” His words trailed off as he ran his hand through his hair. “I can go and see if there is any place open. SHIT! I don’t even have my bike. I could borrow…”

“It’s okay,” I said softly, interrupting his little rant.

He looked at me, eyes wide. “You mean it’s okay to borrow your car? Or…” he hesitated and dropped his voice an octave, “is it okay okay?”

Lying back, I pulled him on top of me. “I mean, it’s okay.” I knew he thought I meant I was on birth control; it was deceitful, but it was what I needed.

Settling on top of me, he slid one hand under my back as the other cupped my cheek. “You are so beautiful,” he said, gazing down at me. “I swear I could stare into your eyes all night.”

I whimpered at his words and how genuine they sounded. I’d never felt so attractive in my life. It was impossible to understand why he thought my muddy green eyes were beautiful, but I could tell that he believed what he said.

“God I want you,” he groaned through gritted teeth. “I can’t remember ever wanting anything more.”

His eyes closed as he kissed me gently. It wasn’t urgent like the others; I could tell he was taking his time. As our tongues met, he shifted his weight nudging my legs apart slightly. When he moved his hips, I felt his cock glide in long strokes over the top of my swollen pussy and rub against my clit. I rotated my hips slightly and groaned in response.

His lips left mine as he shifted back onto his knees. With the hand that was under my back, he lifted me slightly and lined me up with his cock. He didn’t reach between us—there was no fumbling at all—he just pressed forward gently, the tip of his erection separating my folds. He stared into my eyes as his throbbing member entered and stretched me.

“Fuck, you’re so small, Baby. Am I hurting you?” he whispered, his lips inches from mine.

I shook my head, unable to speak. It didn’t hurt at all; it felt wonderful. I did, however, mewl in pleasure, causing him to stop his forward movement.

Finding my voice I whimpered, “Please don’t stop. You feel so good.”

“Ungh, I couldn’t stop even if I wanted to,” he groaned, rolling his hips and inching in a bit more. I craved all of him, so I grabbed onto his ass and pulled him to me as I lifted my hips and thrust myself toward him. I yelped in pain as he entered me fully, our hips finally touching. His eyes flashed with concern at my sound, but I smiled up at him. It was painful, but it was a good pain. I’d never felt so full.

Sapphyria's Review:

My review for Book One, The Awakening: Aidan may be found by clicking HERE.

Please note that there may be some Book 1 spoilers in this review.  Proceed with caution!

When Liam Doyle's unbonded mate rejects him (we first learned this in Book 1 - it set the stage for Aidan to meet his mate), the rejection tosses him into and unhappiness like no other.  He is in Hell and no amount of therapy from psychiatrists privy to the shifter ways is going to help.  The best they can do is help him prevent the mind benders known as Bahrraj that he will continue to suffer through as long as his unbonded mate continues to turn her back on him.

Ava Michaels harbors a secret - a Huge secret.  One that, if revealed, will kill her, Emma, and Liam.  In order to save everyone she does the hardest thing she has ever had to do - she chooses between Emma and Liam....guess who she picked?!  The man behind the eerie phone calls and stalker-type behavior is relentless in his control over Ava.  But when he goes to far??

Liam feels almost everything that Ava does, including her heartbeat.  After eight months of walking around like a zombie, Liam tries to face Ava and get her to change her mind about them, when he sees her with another man.  Trying again to pick up the pieces, Liam is shocked to feel her slow death in his veins.  The last thing he remembers is her bloodied, dead body before waking in a room separated by glass through which he can see, and now feel, his formerly dead mate, Ava.  He also gets to watch while their kidnapper tortures Ava, in turn, torturing Liam.

What ensues is the wildest ride full of twists, turns, and psychotic needs for revenge.  The emotional war that rages on within Ava is intense, fully immersing the reader in her thoughts and feelings.  Ava is very strong heroine, dealing with some serious issues.  Her love for those in her life knows no bounds and that love is what is being tested, ultimately causing the distress and agony thrust upon Liam.  Her inability to ask for help at her most crucial times, all while having to lie and be deceitful, just about breaks her.  Fortunately, she has a pretty great alpha male in her corner.

Liam is a very strong hero but he's not without flaws.  He brought Ava into a world she only read about in fairytales and horror stories then freaked when he was rejected.  The uniting of a shifter and his mate is supposed to instant, mutual, and above all else....easy.  Liam doesn't get any of those traits when he marks Ava.  Her refusal sends him over the edge; an edge that he may not be able to be rescued from.  The harrowing experience of Ava's death, life, and traumatic experience at the hands of the kidnapper exposes the feral side of Liam; the side that is totally devoted to Ava and willing to risk it all in order to protect her.

I found The Awakening: Liam to be a more action filled, engaging story that isn't just about a shifter and his mate.  There is substance in the novel that brings forth mystery and suspense along with shocking turns of events.  I was completely drawn into this novel, almost unwilling to stop reading at any point.  I needed to know who the kidnapper was, what was behind his/her reasoning(s) to mess with a shifter and his unbonded mate, and if, indeed, Liam and Ava truly received their happily ever after.

Review: The Awakening: Aidan (The Awakening, Book 1) by Abby Niles (Entangled Covet)

After years of counseling grieving shifters, psychiatrist and half-shifter, Dr. Jaylin Avgar has become jaded on shifter mating. Sapphyria's Review:

Aidan O'Connell is still learning to deal with his roommate, his friend Liam. Liam is nursing a broken heart after his human mate rejected him and his shifter ways. This rejection has caused serious problems with Liam and the only way to help him if for Aiden to call a half-shifter psychiatrist named Jaylin Avgar. As soon as she stepped on the porch, Aiden's inner beast knew she was "The One."

Dr. Jaylin Avgar hasn't treated a shifter in months, having completely removed them from her practice.  The horrendous consequences of their eternal mating has Jaylin completed jaded to the point that she will never mate with a shifter.  Being eternally linked to a shifter with the potential of having to live life without her mate, or her mate having to live without her, in case of an early death doesn't sit well.  Jaylin is only going to seek out human companionship because she thinks it will be safer for her heart.

When Aidan and Jaylin meet, there is a definite change in the air.  They both know when Aidan's beast symbolically marks Jaylin as Aiden's mate.  Jaylin fights the attraction tooth and nail, rejecting Aidan before even giving their relationship a go.  Seeing that she's going to be difficult, Aidan falls back to the guy he used to be in order to persuade Jaylin.  Aidan even goes so far as to fake a psychiatric case to get her on a plane to the tropics.  Will Aidan be able to convince Jaylin that all she feels about the mating instinct is false and that they truly do belong together?

The shifter aspect was a bit different than the norm which gave this book an edge.  I almost wasn't sure about this story at first, though.  The beginning is heavily devoted to Liam and the rejection by his mate, Ava, so I wasn't quite sure who the book was supposed to be about.  Especially so, since the book description clearly spoke about Aidan and Jaylin as being the main characters.  The information, however, is detrimental to the plot and is a great set up for not only Aidan and Jaylin's story but Book 2, The Awakening: Liam (which I started immediately after finishing The Awakening: Aidan).

The author wrote Jaylin pretty well and brought out her emotions, paranoia, and feelings with intensity.  Aidan was a strong male character but he also had emotional depth.  These two were not superficial nor 2-dimensional; they were very much full of life, regardless of the emotions they were feeling at the time.  Jaylin really felt that she had a handle on her life, the ways of shifters, and how to avoid the unhappiness that mating would cause.  She was woman enough to admit her inaccuracies and fully realize what mating means.  Aidan tried and tried to get her to understand that the patients she's seen in the past were not part of the normal shifter population.  His patience began to wear pretty thin toward the end and a situation arose that forced Jaylin to rectify the issues she had and accept who she was and what her relationship with Aidan meant ~ although, it may have been too late (you'll have to read the book to figure it out).

I enjoyed this story very much.

About the Author:

Kendra Leigh Castle was born and raised in the far and frozen reaches of Northern New York, where there was plenty of time to cultivate her love of reading thanks to the six-month-long winters. Sneaking off with selections from her mother’s vast collection of romance novels came naturally and fairly early, and a lifelong love of the Happily Ever After was born. After graduating from SUNY Oswego (where it also snowed a lot) with a teaching degree, Kendra ran off with a handsome young Navy fighter pilot and has somehow accumulated three children, three dogs, and one enormous cat during their many moves.

While stationed in a remote corner of the Nevada desert, Kendra penned her first romance, and a career often spent working in fuzzy slippers and pajamas was born. Her work has garnered both critical praise and award nominations, but the best part has been connecting with readers who share her love of dark romance (not to mention heroes with sharp, pointed teeth). Kendra currently lives in Maryland, and can usually be found curled up with her laptop and yet another cup of coffee working on her next book. She loves to hear from her readers, and can be contacted via email or her Facebook page.

Sapphyria's Review:

Josh Faraday is a reporter that hides behind a faceless character, JR, in a popular newspaper column.  Upset that Tess Banyon has reached critical acclaim and high popularity, including her own television show, yet he can't get producers to launch his, Josh decides that Tess can't possibly be the perfect homemaking diva she portrays.  He figures out a way to infiltrate her domain in order to get the dirty laundry he needs to expose the domestic diva for who he thinks she really is.....a fraud.

I was honestly almost turned off by the beginning of the book.  Josh came down so hard on Tess Banyon's image and success, it showed a really ugly side of him right from the start.  Jealousy, petty remarks, and bitterness are not becoming, especially in the context of this novel.  I know it was the set up for the rest of the novel but it really showed what I thought was a weak side to Josh's character.

Once the novel got rolling and Josh is introduced to Tess the story improved and I started to enjoy it more.  A lot of humor was tossed into the mix and there was definitely some well written chemistry between Tess and Josh.  As the story evolved, the agenda that Josh has at first slowly changes and we get a glimpse of his change of heart, even as he discovers things about Tess that he correctly assumed.  But his assumptions aren't cut-and-dried; they are complicated and deserved a much better explanation than a trashing that he first wanted to publish.

Then, when Tess realizes that Josh and the trash-talking JR are one and the same, the feelings she has developed for Josh disintegrate, causing her to remove him from her life.  His true motives are revealed also, as, what was supposed to be a first draft article is published without his consent or editing.  This novel does have the Happily Ever After we come to expect from an Entangled author, however I'm not really sure that Josh deserved it.

Without further ado......I present Lynne Silver:

Parenting advice for Will & Kate from the soldiers of The Program

Today we have Adam, Xander, and Chase giving the new royal parents some advice and answering questions. This should be amusing as none of them are fathers, other than Chase who became a step-dad to a 4 year old. No diaper duty necessary. Nevertheless, they will do their best.

1. What do you think of the name? George Alexander Louis

Chase: Sounds like they wrote down the name of every king in the history of the world and pulled from a hat. I mean, why not Ghengis or King Tut?

Xander: Or Montezuma?

Adam: You guys are being asses. Names matter and Alexander was a good choice. Alexander the Great was a bad-ass.

Xander: Yeah, he should go by his middle name. Alex won’t get his butt kicked on the playground.

Chase: So says the man who goes by his middle name, or can we start calling you Michael?

Xander: Shut up.

2. Let’s move on. What about their decision for no nanny?

Chase: I say this from experience. I don’t know what they’re trying to prove. That they’re an average couple? They’re not. They’re royal and have a boatload of money. Hire a damn nanny and get a full night’s sleep. Samara and I take advantage of babysitters every chance we get. We love Luca, but we need grown-up time too.

Xander: I think it’s sweet that they want to spend time bonding with their kid.

Adam: Did you just use the word sweet and bond?

Xander: Shut up.

3. Discipline: Spanking or no spanking?

Chase: I do not envy them having to raise that kid in the public spotlight. If Luca acts up in public, no one cares other than me and Samara. But no, no spanking.

Adam: My mom spanked me and I turned out fine.

Xander: Parents shouldn’t hit their kids. It sends the wrong message.

Chase: Yeah, but consensual spanking between adults is fun.

Xander & Adam: Shut up

4. Breastfeeding in public? Or is Kate too public a figure?

Adam: Women have the right to nurse wherever they want, even if they’re princesses.

Chase: She should definitely nurse in public.

Xander: You just think she’s hot.

Chase: She’s gorgeous, but I’m not the one with the British obsession.

Xander: Shut up

That’s it, thanks for the parenting insight, none of which is useful to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

In the bar at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Jade Bleecker celebrates with her three best friends, all of whom are there to get married - Jade is their bridesmaid, and beginning to believe that three times a bridesmaid really does mean never a bride. Tattooed, pierced and a martial artist, Jade is used to inspiring fear rather than desire in men, and even if she did find one who could handle her - well, no man is worth trusting with her body.

But, as she is leaving the bar, she comes upon a mugging in progress and, with a few swift moves, makes short work of the mugger. Invited up to the victim's room for a nightcap, she is stunned to discover he is Will Vandenmeer - billionaire poster child of the Vandenmeer hotel and casino chain, and owner of The Sanctuary, one of the best known BDSM clubs in New York City.

Jade finds herself hopelessly attractive to the sensual, dominant Will, and when he offers to induct her into the world of BDSM, she accepts... but can she truly give herself to him, and is Will ready for what Jade has to offer?

“Don’t worry, you’re in no danger here. I’m putting the suite under lockdown. It’s not the first time this has happened, and I won’t have any more innocent rescuers hurt in retaliation. Bryn and Matt have radioed my team and they’re dealing with it.”
For fuck’s sake!
Jade screwed her eyes shut for a moment, forcing herself to calm down.
Okay. I don’t like it, but he’s right. Shit, what have I got myself into?
“Relax,” said Will, and Jade opened her eyes again to glare at him. “You’re safe with me. Despite what you may have heard.”
And Jade’s stomach spiralled as she remembered the other, less-publicised aspect of Will Vandenmeer.
His club.
It had created a frenzy in the press at first, but the stories had come to an abrupt halt—probably, Jade guessed, due to a heavy-handed legal team. The Sanctuary was hidden in the heart of New York City, a haven for those who lived the hardcore BDSM lifestyle. Patrons were protected, behaviour was strictly regulated, and membership was revoked for the slightest infringement. It was not a place for dabblers.
Will Vandenmeer was a dominant, and didn’t care who knew it.
‘You’re safe with me’. Will was holding her gaze now, and Jade refused to look away, although her body was rebelling against her—torn between the flutter of nerves in her gut and a stab of desire in her cunt.
Maybe she was safe with him. Maybe she wasn’t.
Or maybe she didn’t want to be.
“Okay. Tell me what you know about me.”
Jade’s fingers involuntarily clenched around the stem of her glass.
“Wait.” Will picked up his own glass, holding his other hand out as though calming a spooked horse. “Scrap that for now. Let me tell you what I’m getting from you.”
Oh really? Jade raised one pierced eyebrow at him.
“What’s your full name?”
“Jade Bleecker.”
“Nice. Jade Bleecker.” Will took a sip from his glass. “You’re a strong woman. You clearly know how to handle yourself. You’ve got at least three tattoos and two piercings that I can see, and probably more that I can’t, so you’re not afraid of pain. And you know what BDSM is, right?”
Jade nodded slowly. Where are you going with this?
“Right. And you’re curious about it.” Will was watching her very closely as he spoke, and Jade held herself very still. “But you think it means all the worst things people say. You think dominants beat their submissives down, that we don’t give a damn about their pleasure, that we expect them to give up everything for our benefit. Right?”
I’m not telling you anything. Jade could feel her face falling into a mask. If Will noticed, he made no comment.
“Are you single?”
“‘Mmm’? Okay.” Will’s eyes were dancing, and Jade’s jaw set in annoyance. “What would you say if I told you that BDSM is nothing like that, Jade?”
Silence fell between them.
“What would you say if I offered to—”
“Wait.” Jade held up a hand, cursing inwardly as she realised it was trembling.
What the hell am I doing?
You want this, a voice taunted in her head.
I don’t even know him and he’s talking about BDSM. I can’t do this. I can’t.
But the image from the bar of herself held down, tied down, putting all her trust in one man, still flickered in her head, and something inside her was urging her forward.
“Tell me what you’re thinking,” Will said, breaking into her thoughts, and Jade found herself answering without thinking.
“I couldn’t do it.”
“Do you want to?”
“That doesn’t matter. I couldn’t.”
“Why not?”
“Because I don’t trust any man with my body.” Jade snapped her mouth shut abruptly, hating the look that had come into Will’s eyes at the words.
Because I’ve been fucked over before. Because I’m a screw-up. Because I don’t need your fucking pity. Go to hell.
“That’s actually a very good reason why you could.
Jade looked up at him, torn between curiosity and defiance.
“What does that mean?”
Will tilted his head to one side, looking her up and down. “You look like a person who might like dangerous sports. Think of bungee jumping. The danger is what attracts people, but any reputable company has a thousand regulations in place before they let anyone do it, precisely because of that danger. Right?
“BDSM works the same way. You’re right not to trust just anyone—but in the community—in my club, for instance, relationships are tightly controlled. Every Dom has rules to follow, as does every sub. Break the rules and you’re thrown out. We protect our patrons.”
Jade nodded slowly.
“Not everyone uses contracts, but even without them, limits and boundaries are agreed beforehand. So are safewords. The universal word is ‘red’, but many people choose their own. If I did anything to you that you didn’t want, you would use your word and I would stop—no questions asked. The trust is absolute.”
“I see.”
Jade reached for her drink, but her hand was shaking, and hastily she put it back on the table. As if he could tell what she was feeling, Will’s voice took on a seductive quality, and Jade bit down on her lip as a rush of desire flashed through her body.
“It’s all about needs. Ours are different, that’s all. You take pleasure in doing what I want. I take pleasure in fulfilling your needs. It has to be reciprocal.”
I take pleasure… You take pleasure… He’s talking as though we’re going to—
The thought made her catch her breath. Immediately Will’s eyes were on hers, and Jade found it impossible to look away.
“Do you still think you couldn’t do it?”
Will arched an eyebrow. “Would you like me to show you?”
I want…
“Yes,” Jade heard herself saying, unable to drag her gaze away from Will’s. He smiled.
